APRIL 4, 2014: Two parcels of land totaling 2.10 acres was purchased 4-30-14 by Airview, LLC for $1,800,000. The former Mitchell's Steak House and abutting VFW are prominently located Across from the Barnstable Airport in front of the Staples / RiteAid Plaza.

The 2.1 acres received unprecedented attention due to being in the Growth Incentive Zone which is a euphemism for being free of the County level red tape normally associated with development properties.

The Cobb Trust is a 200 year old charitable trust, the income from which supports the schoolchildren of the Town of Barnstable. 

The Buyer expects to raze the buildings and build to suit for an as yet undetermined tenant.

The Seller was represented by Atty Philip M. Boudreau and the Buyer by Atty Bernard Kilroy both of Hyannis.
